AAJA Portland and Literary Arts are partnering for an upcoming Portland event with pioneering Asian American news anchor Connie Chung. As a community partner of Literary Arts, AAJA has discounted tickets.

The event is from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1126 S.W. Park Ave., in downtown Portland.

Chung is on a book tour to promote her new memoir, “Connie.”

She spoke recently with KOIN anchor and reporter Elizabeth Dinh, an AAJA Portland board member. Among the topics they covered: her visit to Portland to cover the 1994 Olympic figure skating controversy around Oregon’s Tonya Harding. Watch the interview.
