Join the Portland chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association as we announce and celebrate the winners of the 2024 AAJA Portland Diversity and Inclusion Awards.

The awards recognize the best journalism published during 2023 about issues that, through discrimination or structural inequity, disproportionately affect people of color or other under-resourced groups in Oregon and/or southwest Washington. 

An awards ceremony will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at The Soop, 1902 W. Burnside St., Portland. Judges have chosen professional and student winners in six categories. Each winner will receive a certificate of recognition and a cash award.

Admission is free. An appetizer buffet will be served. Beverages and additional food will be available for purchase. Please limit ticket reservations to two per person.
