The Oregon chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and AAJA PDX is proud to present the SPJ-AAJA Building a Better Journalist Conference happening on October 28, 2023.

This year’s conference will feature:
• Discussion panels and classes focused on skills, topics and issues of interest for journalists, journalism students and journalism educators in Oregon and southwest Washington
• Presentations on the state of local news and civic information
• A networking fair

Tickets are available on a sliding scale:
• General admission: $24
• Student admission: $15 (must be enrolled in high school or college)
• Donation + admission: $50 or $100
• Admission includes lunch

Proceeds will go towards conference expenses and the AAJA-SPJ Emerging Northwest Journalists Internship Program, which provides paid summer internships in Oregon newsrooms.
